Curriculum Development and Review (CDR) Introduction The Curriculum Development and Review (CDR) Department is among the four academic Departments which were reformed when TIE changed its organizational structure in 2009, from the Curriculum Design and Development (CDD) and renamed as Curriculum Development and Review Department (CDRD). The current structure is basically similar to the previous one except that it is headed by a Director who is responsible to the Director General of TIE. The CDR directorate is organized into five sections namely: Early Childhood Development (ECD), Primary Education (PE), Secondary Education (SE), Teacher Education (TE) and Special Needs (SN) and Non- Formal Education (NF) sections. The department is mainly responsible for designing and developing the curriculum for pre- primary, primary, secondary and teacher training colleges.
